Happy Halloween

I can't believe Halloween has come and gone. We had a fun year with a goth fairy (Makenna) Michael Jackson (Brooklyn...who else) a vampire (Annie) and a cute little witch (Ava).
John and I attended our ward Halloween party as Jonah and the whale. Obviously I was the whale! We then had a fun night at the Hydes as A pregnant cheerleader and a football player. Although Halloween night was a down pour the kids still scored with way too much candy that I am going to eat guilt free because I am having some major chocolate cravings this pregnancy!!!

Hello Everyone,
I have taken a four month break due to a broken camera. We got Ava's 10 month picture today on John's cell phone. She is so stinkin cute and getting so big. She learned how to crawl down both flights of stairs this week. She is also trying to take her first steps. I think she is weighing in at about 20 lbs these days.
Makenna finally got her cast off this week in time to play at her last soccer game. Annie has started to read her cute little kindergarten books this week and Brooklyn is spending way too much time these days picking out her outfits for school.
As for John and I we are doing great just always busy. John got in a car accident three weeks ago and is still nursing a broken/hyper extended toe. I have kept myself busy with a darling preschool group a fun new teacher and being a choffer.
I will try to be more diligent in keeping this updated. It feels so good to be back and blogging!!!

Look at those cheeks and that double chin! I can't stop kissing her. She shakes her head back and forth like she is saying no -it is so adorable. We tried some food this week and found out she hates carrots! She is weighing in at 17'4 I swear she weighs more than that! She is finaally sleeping through the night since we moved her in with Kenna. I am loving all the rolls and dimples! She is sitting up by herself and has a cute chubby butt for an anchor. She makes me smile everyday! She definately gets lots of attention around here!

Five Months Already!

Ava Lu Lu turned five months this week. When I took her to the doctor she weighed 16lbs 10oz. She is definately not starving! I started her on rice ceral this week and she loved it. Time is going by too fast. Here are a few of my lastest favorite shots of her.

Everytime I get motivated to get back on my diet a candy filled holiday pops up and I find myself hiding in the pantry eating my childrens candy! I am tempted just to throw it all away because I have zero will power! I also threw my friend an ice cream party and guess who had all the left over toppings and ice cream. Thats right me!!! I kick my own butt three times a week at the gym but I can't stop eating like a teenage boy having a growth spurt. Sometimes I eat more than John at dinner and it kind of freaks me out!!! If anyone has any suggestions please save me from eating myself to death!!! I have to add that I love watching the Biggest loser. I am usually sitting in my recliner eating cookie dough while I cheer them on.

Anyway onto Easter. So there I was at my parents house for our Easter egg hunt. All the cousins decided they were going to race to see who was the fastest. I was trying to show off so I decided to race with the 7 and 8 year olds. On your mark get set go! I took two strides and I found myself rolling across the grass. My legs somehow got stuck in the grass and didn't move with the rest of me. Very humiliated I started laughing and snorting until I looked down and found that I had got grass stains on my favorite pants.

If that wasn't enough to humble me I then decided to race with my sister Cindy. I have to add that she is about 3 inches shorter than me. After one step she left me in her dust. She says her speed is all due to her welch muscly legs. To ease my pain I went inside and had my second piece of cake and fell asleep on the couch.

Happy Dating Anniversary!

John and I met and went on our first date twelve years ago today!!! It was a blind date lined up by my soon to be brother-in-law. John treated me to a fancy dinner at the "Golden Corral." On the way to the restaurant John was so nervous he wouldn't stop talking. He still won't stop talking to this day! We then went to the park and flew glow in the dark kites and then went back to my brother-in-laws house and made homemade rootbeer. We actually realized we liked each other when we went out and sat on the trampoline together and talked like we had know each other for years. Our date ended by watching Joe vs the Volcano. When John dropped me off at my front door he asked if he could see me again. My reply was " I'm gona see you tomorrow." We had already planned on going hiking up Farmington canyon. I knew after that date that I wanted to marry him. He was so nice and interested in everything about me. He even liked me despite my ugly braces I was still sporting. I hope he reads this and gets the hint that I would like to go on a date tonight to celebrate!

I am only glad I did not know John when he looked like this. I think I would have run the other way!!! Notice the purple Fresh Jive Pants. Classy John!

I am actually posting this on time!!! Ava is three months old today! We took her to Kiddie kandids to get her pictures last Saturday and she wasn't cooperating but they turned out cute anyway. I am having so much fun with her. She is so cute especially when she smiles. I like em' big I like em' chunky!(madagascar 2 F.Y.I) I think of that everytime I see her rolly polly thighs!

Ava had her 2 month well check today. She had to get three shots while we were there. Her face turned purple because she was crying so hard she wouldn't breath. It was so sad but I know it is better for her in the long run. Here are her current stats.

Brooklyn turned seven on January 23rd. She had a fun late night with her friends where they had breakfast food, played games and screamed a lot. We had to drive everyone home in horrible fog and they were making up stories about warewolves. They even started to scare me!!! Her family party was a little more low key with lots of food and playing with the cousins. Brooklyn is one of the funniest people I know. She has now come up with an Ozzie Osborne impersonation. She has been so nice this year. A huge change from last year. I am excited to be around her because she makes me laugh and she has a passion for fashion. Here's some pics from her parties. I know I am so late posting this. Ava made it to her one month mile stone. She has gained 3 pounds since birth which is amazing considering she spits up everything she eats. She has a major acid reflux problem and we are on our second medication which is obvioulsy not working. I still think she is adorable and the reason I get up in the morning.(litterally!!!)

Girls night out!

Last Saturday we had an awesome girls night out! We went to see "Twilight" the movie. Anyone who knows me knows I am a little obsessed with Edward! The movie was actually good despite of who they cast as my boyfriend. I do have a weakness for brown eyes so I was glad they got that part right! We went to the California Pizza kitchen before at Gateway- I think there were like 20 of us who went. I don't think our waitress was very happy! We were still first in line for the movie even though we already had reserved seats! Yea we're kind of dorks. It was nice to have one last get away before baby Ava gets here. By the way my scheduled C-section is for December 18th. Normally I would be pushing for sooner but with Christmas around the corner and my Preschool Christmas program next week I need to keep her in the oven a little longer. Hopefully my next post will be Ava's arrival!

Johnny's Birthday!

We celebrated John's 34th Birthday on Tuesday November 4th! He had to work late so the girls and I put together a candle light dinner. The girls named our restaurant the Jr. Swirl( sounds like an ice cream parlor) and they made cute menus with only one choice for each entre. We ended up serving Chicken Parmasean with french bread and ice cream sandwhich cake for dessert. The girls did a great job being our waitresses! I got John a new office chair and a couple clothing items that didn't fit ( the story of my life!) The girls got him a gift certificate to Cold Stone. That was probably his favorite!!! Happy Birthday John-34 and your still going strong!

Makenna has been complaining for about three weeks that her ankle hurts. John and I have just ignored her and passed her off as faking since she was still playing soccor at recess and jumping around. Well I got sick of her complaining and finally took her to the Dr. to prove to her that she is full of it! Well it turns out her growth plate in her ankle had a huge crack in it which would require her to wear a cast for four weeks! I felt so bad and so I let her stay home from school the rest of the day and watch movies. I decided I should win the "Mother of the year award!"
She is very excited about her blue cast and that she'll get out of pointing her toes at ballet for a whole month! There is always a positive side. When life hands you lemons make lemonade!

Papa Rolly!

John's Dad passed away suddenly a year and a half ago(on Valentine's Day). It has been really hard on our family because he was such a wonderful Grandpa to our kids!!! Even Annie who was only 2 at the time is always talking about him. I saw her the other day waving out the window and when I asked who she was waving at she said, "Papa Rolly!" This weekend his headstone finally made it to the American Fork cemetary. To celebrate we took his favorite cake( Angel food cake with orange frosting) and had a little celebration gaveside mannor. Here is a little tribute to Rolly-we love and miss you!!!

We were on our nightly walk when all of the sudden Brooklyn's tooth fell out. She was riding in the stroller so we searched everywhere but couldn't find it. My guess is that she swallowed it. She really wanted it so she could have some proof for the tooth fairy to bring her some money. We started to back track to see if it fell on the sidewalk. This was like finding a needle in a haystack. Brooklyn's advice to us was " Look for something yellow because I didn't brush that one very good!" This gave us a good laugh. I think she still deserves a visit from the tooth fairy even if there is no tooth. Makenna is pretty upset because at 8 years old she still hasn't lost a tooth yet. Holy crap I'm thirty!!! I am glad that John and the girls had a fun day planned to ease me into it. The girls got me a yoga set and a new curling iron. John let me blow 200 dollars on a shopping spree and he bought me a new bassinet for baby Ava. I felt very blessed and spoiled. We also got together with some friends in the evening and had a mexican fiesta and played taboo. Natalie and Ben who were vacationing were very missed!!! Thanks everyone for a fun party!!!!

We sent the girls off to their first day of school. Makenna is loving third grade but I am a little nervous about the math homework. Brooklyn started first grade and loves her sweet teacher. Her only complaint is that she can't find anything she likes at school lunch. Aniston is in her second year of preschool and is already learning her letters and sounds. I have started teaching preschool this week and I think it will be a great year. I got a new assistant teacher this year( Miss Laura) and she has been awesome!!!

I am posting a picture of me at 5 1/2 months prego just so you can get a nice visual of how gynormous I am. Aniston is always coming up to kiss baby Ava and tell her she loves her!

Sorry I haven't written for so long. Cindy has really been on my case so I decided I better write. We have had a very relaxing hot summer. The girls just finished up swimming lessons in July. Annie keeps scaring the crap out of me and jumping off the diving board. Brooklyn on the other hand is just barely sticking her face in the water without plugging her nose. She has a little bit of water phobia like her mother!!! Makenna got baptized on July fifth and has grown another foot this summer just so she could get all new pants for school. Speaking of that I can't believe school starts in two weeks. I think I will miss the company of the girls and their help around the house. I won't miss having neighbor kids over all day eating all of our food!!!!

As for Johnny he took a job out of desperation in American fork on June 1st. We are eating through gas like crazy. He has been listening to books on tape on the drive to keep his sanity. If anyone knows of a sales job no farther than salt lake please let us know!!!! He has gone back to school and is working hard on getting his degree this summer. I am so glad that season has come and gone in my life.

As for me I am currently 18 weeks and 3 days along. I find out on August 20th what the littlestinker is. I am hoping for a girl because that's all I know. I am already gynormous and have been in maternity clothes for a couple of weeks. I can't complain too much because I know I am very lucky to be pregnant and this is probably the last time I ever will be. Especially if it's up to John. He is already planning his appointment to get fixed!!!!

I will promise and write in a week or so when I find out the good news!!!

Summer is finally here!!! We spent the weekend camping at North Fork. It rained on us the entire night. Although we were wet and cold we had fun. I forget how nice it is to sit around a camp fire and feel the spirit. We also Went up Bear canyon to roast some marshmellows and make smores. We forgot to bring water to put out the fire so the girls and John turn turns peeing on it. I told John we don't need boys the girls are just as adventurous.
Brooklyn performed saturday night at Layton high school for performance academy. She had a solo singing " You are the music in me" from High School musical 2. I can't believe she dares to get up in front of all of those people and sing by herself-she definately did not get that from me!!!
We are vacationing in St. George this weekend and it's supposed to be 104 degrees. I think we will be swimming most of the time!!!!

Summer blues

John and I found out that we are expecting in January. I have finally made it to the 9th week. I am so excited because I have been waiting for almost two years and I feel like a huge burden has been lifted from me. I am already planning on a girl just because thats all I know. Is it normal to be showing already? I am already picking out cute maternity clothes. My three girls are coming up with new names every day. Some of them are a little scary!!!
I am trying to think of things to keep my kids busy this summer because all I want to do is read. John got a new job in American Fork. I think he's crazy to drive there but he really likes it and hopefully he can make some good money. We are vacationing over Fasther's Day weekend in St. George. I really need the break away from house cleaning and preschool. We have a busy month full of dance recitals and singing performances. I will post pictues when I get them. Good bye for now!

Today we spent our morning at two soccer games. Makenna's team won 3 to 1 and Brooklyn's team was scared of the amazon girl who was guarding the goal. Aniston had her first dance pictures today and it was very difficult trying to put mascara on a three year old. We all fell asleep for about two hours and then we went to wingers with the Blair's. Life is pretty crazy right now. I just took on a baby sitting gig with a 4 month old and a 5 year old. As if I don't spend enough time with children during the week. I am in desperate need of a vacation. Hopefully the magic vacation fairy will visit my house and take me away for a while. My sister Wendy just left back to Virginia after spending a week here with her husband Matt and her two daughters Moriah and Arianna. I am going to miss them. Nothing else exciting is going on so I will depart.
